Barbara Schmidt and Associates is a niche consultancy organisation established in 1998. We specialise in providing consultancy services to rural and remote primary health care and aged care services to support high-quality health and aged care service delivery.
Barbara Schmidt and Associates is a preferred suppliers on the Department of Health and Aged Care Service Development Assistance Panel. Over the past 12 years we have provided professional support and assistance with training, capacity building and systems development and implementation to 17 rural, remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Aged Care Services delivering CHSP, HCP, residential care and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care programs. Our team includes a mix of non-Indigenous, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals who have lived and worked in remote areas and understand the challenges and complexity of meeting Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative compliance requirements in this context.
Barbara Schmidt and Associates are currently contracted by the Service Development and Assistance Panel to deliver the Rural and Remote Aged Care Management Training program to services located in MMM 6 and 7 as well as providing direct support to aged care services located in remote areas.
